Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune condition that often targets moisture-producing glands, leading to dry eyes and dry mouth. Joint pain and fatigue can travel with it. Diagnosis uses history, exam, and sometimes labs or biopsies ordered by specialists.
Practical themes
- Dental and eye care matter early because dryness raises cavity and corneal risk
- Dry mouth can make eating and speaking harder; soft foods and hydration help some people
- Report new neurologic symptoms or swollen glands promptly
