Fatigue is one of the most searched IBD symptoms, and it intensifies when arthritis, psoriasis, liver disease, or anemia join the picture. "Sleep more" is incomplete advice. Inflammation, iron deficiency, sleep disruption from urgency, depression, and medicine effects can stack.
Build a short fatigue log
- Energy score morning and evening for two weeks
- Night bathroom trips and sleep hours
- New joint, skin, or eye symptoms
- Recent steroid tapers or biologic changes
Start with fatigue and brain fog, then check anemia, bone health, and autoimmune overlap.
Questions that move care forward
- Which labs should we recheck for anemia, thyroid, vitamin D, or inflammation?
- Is my fatigue tracking gut activity or a separate immune problem?
- Would rheumatology, sleep medicine, or mental health support help?
