What Camp Oasis is

Camp Oasis is the Foundation's summer program for youth living with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis.

Sessions are designed so medication routines, dietary needs, and bathroom access are part of normal camp life, with medical volunteers on site.

Many families describe camp as the first place their child meets other kids who understand IBD.

Who it is for

The Foundation typically serves children entering grades 2 through 12, with cabin groups by age.

There may be in-person regional camps and virtual options such as CampOasis@Home. Availability changes by year and location.

Always verify age ranges, health forms, and registration deadlines on the Foundation Camp Oasis pages.

How to use Foundation youth education

Beyond camp, the Foundation publishes kids, parents, and teens education for school, friendships, and talking about IBD at home.

Use Foundation pages as the original source, then bring questions to your pediatric GI or IBD team.

IBDPal can help families track symptoms, meals, and school notes between visits.

Practical tips

  • Start registration early; popular sessions fill up
  • Ask your GI team about medical forms and medication plans for camp
  • Pair Foundation youth pages with school accommodation planning
